Visiting the website

Our web-hosting provider receives the technical information needed to deliver a page, including your IP address and the address requested. According to the provider, it records the requested page or file, time of access, referring page, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and an IP address anonymized upon collection. It keeps these visitor records for eight weeks and states that it does not transfer them outside the EU. This processing supports the security, stability, and delivery of the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The hosting provider also evaluates webserver logs to produce visitor statistics and help improve the website. It anonymizes IP addresses directly after transmission and does not use cookies for these statistics. The website itself does not set cookies.

We do not use advertising or marketing trackers on this website.

Contacting us

If you email us, we receive the address you send from, your message, and any information you choose to include. We use these details to answer you and handle your request. If your inquiry concerns a contract or steps toward one, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; otherwise it is our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where recordkeeping is required by law, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR also applies. You need not provide information beyond what is necessary for us to understand and answer your request.

Our email-service provider processes messages and the technical information needed to deliver, store, and secure them. Its mail servers are in Germany. Your own email provider may also process the messages you send us.

We normally delete routine inquiry correspondence within three years after the end of the calendar year in which the matter closes. We may keep messages longer if they form part of records that the law requires us to retain, or if a specific ongoing matter or legal claim makes further retention necessary. We delete them when that reason ends.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or data portability. You may object to processing based on our legitimate interests. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact us at privacy@enlumen.eu to exercise your rights.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Enlumen's local authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information in Baden-Württemberg.

We do not use the website to make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
