AnswerSense® Sequential Privacy Policy
AnswerSense® Sequential is designed to keep your learning activity on your device. Enlumen GmbH does not receive your learning sets, responses, or performance data during ordinary use of the app. No account or sign-in is required.

Information the app handles on your device
The app stores learning sets and resources, settings, and Response Data locally. Response Data can include the timing of an attempt, how much Progressive Hinting support was needed, and information used to present progress or schedule later practice. You can create content, import it from files, and add images. If you choose to take a picture for a learning item, the app uses the camera for that action. It does not use the camera in the background.
Speech features use speech synthesis to present learning content; they do not record your voice. The app does not require access to your microphone for these features.
The app uses this local information to provide the functions you request, including organizing later practice. It has no advertising, analytics, cloud synchronization, or automatic diagnostic reporting. Its use of progress data does not produce decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
When information can leave your device
You choose whether to export or share a learning set or learning record. A .phvault learning-record file contains Response Data, not the learning content itself, and is encrypted on your device for transfer to another installation. A Transfer Key is used to open a transferred file. Enlumen does not receive the file or key and cannot recover a lost key. Do not send your Transfer Key to anyone, including Enlumen.
The app sends no exported file or diagnostic information to Enlumen automatically. If you choose to send a file or report for support, we receive what you send. A storage or transfer service you choose will handle exported files under its own terms and privacy practices. Review material before sharing it, particularly if it contains your own or another person's information.
Opening the privacy policy, support page, or another external link makes a normal website request. Installing or updating the app, making a purchase, and using a device backup or cloud file provider may also involve Apple, Google, or your chosen provider. Those services operate under their own privacy notices. The app itself has no Enlumen account or cloud service.
Keeping and deleting local data
Your learning data remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app, subject to any copies you have exported and any device backups you have enabled. The app's Reset All action deletes local Response Data; it does not delete learning sets, settings, the Transfer Key, exported files, or backups. You control exported copies and backups through the destination or device service that holds them. Because Enlumen does not receive your ordinary learning data, we cannot view or erase a copy held only on your device or in a service you chose.
If you contact us
When you email support or send a diagnostic report, we receive your email address and the information you decide to provide. We use it to investigate and answer your request. If your inquiry concerns a contract or steps toward one, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; otherwise it is our legitimate interest in providing support (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Legal recordkeeping, where applicable, is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. You can ask for help without sending learning content or a diagnostic report. Our email-service provider processes and stores correspondence on mail servers in Germany.
We normally delete routine support correspondence within three years after the end of the calendar year in which the matter closes. We may keep messages longer if they form part of records that the law requires us to retain, or if a specific ongoing matter or legal claim makes further retention necessary. We delete them when that reason ends.
Your rights
For personal data that Enlumen holds, you may, subject to the conditions of the GDPR, request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact privacy@enlumen.eu. You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, including the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information in Baden-Württemberg.
